About CHQI

CHQI’s mission is to accelerate quality improvement in healthcare across Ontario. Building on lessons from high-performing healthcare systems around the world, we initiate, coordinate, and support large-scale collaborative improvement initiatives, helping organizations achieve breakthrough results in performance outcomes. CHQI works with senior healthcare leaders to incorporate quality as a core business strategy, and develops the quality-improvement capacity and capability of local providers and Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs).  We identify policy barriers to quality improvement, to communicate these to appropriate stakeholders. At CHQI, our approach and agenda are shaped by evidence on critical levers that drive improvement, by our mandate to support provincial areas of strategic priority, and by our philosophy of building capability for improvement through action-based learning.

The Board of Directors of The Change Foundation provides corporate governance for CHQI.
